Positions Available:

Cashier

You'll learn how to assist customers with confidence in guiding them through their photo specialty accessory purchases by asking the right questions, listening to their answers, and synthesizing that information into a product recommendation based on product knowledge. We are looking for candidates that can multi-task, help multiple people at once while still performing the daily tasks that keep our store organized and clean. This position is crucial to welcoming people into the store, providing information about the store and events as well as guiding them to the right sales associate that can help them. This position greets customers, takes in photo lab orders, facilitates rentals, checks in packages and sells basic photo accessories like, bags, tripods, lighting, batteries, etc. There is room to grow at CameraMall, we do extensive training on camera gear and salesmanship. This role can easily evolve, if the person in it applies themselves and demonstrates top notch customer service, initiative and product knowledge.

Sales Associate

As an outsider looking in at CameraMall, you may think a retail sales position here may be similar to working at a coffee shop--an opportunity to hang out and talk about the latest cameras with customers. While the position requires a desire to keep up with the ever-changing camera technology, the camera is only the beginning. 

You'll learn how to assist customers with confidence in guiding them through their photo specialty purchase by asking the right questions, listening to their answers, and synthesizing that information into a product recommendation based on product knowledge. We are looking for candidates that can multi-task, help multiple people at once while still performing the daily tasks that keep our store organized and clean.

On top of that, sales associates are key in helping to purchase equipment, log it in the computer, take product photos, and update system items as needed. They are required to keep the front of house stocked and clean, as well as the back of house. This including house keeping as well as paperwork and gear.

Lab Technician/Film Development

We offer a variety of scanning, printing and transfer options for tapes, slides, negatives, and photos. While it is interesting to work with these mediums the job requires acute attention to detail. The lab contains chemicals, that are easily cross contaminated as well as machines that need daily maintenance and quality control. Lab technicians must be meticulous in maintaining product quality. This is a production style job with very little down time, it requires a person who will be happy staying busy and performing the same tasks every day. Lab technicians will work with thousands of photos, each photo needs to be given the same attention and care in order to preserve our customers work. 

Lab technicians must have a photographic background, experience with development and an understanding of proper exposure. A lab tech must be able to pick up on inconsistencies with-in the film process that may indicate issues with hardware or chemistry. People who take a lot of photos and can pin point problems with color balance and exposure will excel as a lab technician. 

You'll learn to mix chemistry for development, keep them steady, pull film, and feed it through our film processor as well as scan film and make prints. You'll be responsible for managing the quality of the developing and printing process; changing chemicals, ink and paper when needed. Running maintenance on the machines, keeping supplies in stock as well as helping out with the general cleanliness and functionality of the lab.
