June-Aug Photo Contest: Summer of Film '26

Join us for a Summer of Film!

CameraMall (Ann Arbor) & Woodward Camera (Birmingham) are back with another summer-long photo contest, from June 15th - August 31st. 

We're passionate about keeping film photography alive and thriving. We love seeing the creative images our community is making, and now's your chance to share. Whether you're an avid medium format shooter, love the simplicity of 35mm, or shoot on instant film, we welcome all formats and styles for this contest. Explore the prize categories below for inspiration on what we're seeking. There will be seven winners in total: one grand prize and six category prizes.

 

Grand Prize

(5 rolls of film + developing & scanning for five rolls)

 - Best Film Image: The best overall image from all categories.
 


Category Prizes

(Two rolls of film + developing & scanning for two rolls)

- Nature: Landscapes, flora, and fauna.
 - Street: Capture compelling scenes within the world's streets.
 - Portrait: Tell a story, evoke an emotion, showcase beauty. Animals included.
 - Black & White: Showcase the timeless beauty of black and white photography.
 - Instant Photography: Captured in an instant: photos taken on Polaroid or Instax film.
 - 120: Celebrate the beauty of medium format! Images taken on 120 film (any aspect ratio).

Contest ends August 31st, 2026. Three entries total per person. 
One image can be entered for multiple categories (e.g. a black and white portrait can be entered to both categories).
